Hot Air Balloon Safety

When you are traveling, you should not have to worry about whether your recreational activities are safe or not. Fortunately, hot air ballooning is one of the safest forms of flight known to man. All of our pilots have many hundreds of hours of balloon flying experience and each is certified with a Federal Aviation Administration Pilot's license. Our hot air balloons are of the highest quality and are inspected regularly by a Federal Aviation Administration approved facility to insure they remain in perfect working order.

A hot air balloon is an environmentally clean propane powered aircraft. The propane used to provide the balloon's lift is completely burned and leaves no fumes or exhaust. We want to take care of the pristine Sonoran Desert we use for balloon take-offs and landings.

Our commitment to safety is always foremost. We will not fly in unsafe conditions, or in unsafe balloons. We will not launch a balloon when it's too windy, or in unstable weather conditions. If the weather does not cooperate we will reschedule at your convenience, based on space availability. Before every flight our balloon Pilot and crew inspect the balloon, envelope, rigging and gondola. Watch us prepare for flight and you'll see the many safety checks we make. An Employee or Pilot may abort or delay a takeoff for any reason.
